RING lip and cheek retractor in place, lips and cheeks retracted for a clear working field
RING lip and cheek retractor in place, lips and cheeks retracted for a clear working field
Treat and document.

Your field.
Wide open.

A clear field for the whole treatment. And for scan, photo, video.

One size · Steplessly adjustable · Designed by Dentists in Germany

Every dental treatment begins with access to the mouth. Everything else builds on it.

What if …

What if every treatment started with a clear field, not a fight against lips and cheeks?

You know the drill. You have two hands. One of them spends the day pulling back the cheek with the mirror, just so you can see. And right where you pull, the tissue distorts and the window gets even smaller. The same goes for your assistant. Two people pulling at the corners of the mouth, just to see. And still seeing badly. Every day. Every patient. Accepting this as normal costs more than you think. In time. In precision. In ergonomics.

What if a single instrument made every one of your procedures better?

You invest in scanners, CAD/CAM systems, premium materials. But the most fundamental problem stays unsolved. Unobstructed access to the treatment field gets ignored. Every one of these investments assumes you can see. RING solves exactly that problem.

What if you had both hands free, even without an assistant?

Dentist or hygienist: more and more of you work solo at the chair. Whoever works without an assistant needs instruments that pull their weight, not instruments that demand a second person. RING holds the field open so both your hands stay free.

Product Features

What makes RING. At a glance.

Panoramic view for treatment and documentation.

A wide, open field for the eye, the scanner and the camera. The anatomical shape opens more buccal space, a full view of the whole arch. You treat with a clear field, and the scanner and camera have the same open field. Mono-material in smooth, transparent polypropylene, the scanner glides, nothing catches. Holds even during the bite scan, both hands free, no assistant.

One size.
Steplessly adjusted.

Steplessly adjustable for adolescents and adults, narrow and wide faces alike, set to the retraction you need in the moment. Soft for dental hygiene, standard for orthodontic checks, wide-open for scan, photo and video. One stock position for all of it, no switching mid-treatment.

Comfort
by shape.

Comfort comes from shape, not from soft material. RING isn't flat and round, the shape follows the anatomy of the mouth. It adjusts steplessly to face, size and indication. The geometry guides the material away from the pressure-sensitive zones in the anterior region. Comfortable for the patient across the whole treatment.

Founded by dentists.

For dentists.

Two generations. One goal: clear field access as the standard.

Over 20 years ago, Dr. Domonkos Horvath invented the original. The world’s first latex-free lip and cheek retractor, today used in more than 130 countries with over 100 million clinical applications.

His son Dr. Sebastian Horvath is a dentist, board-certified specialist in prosthodontics (DGPro), and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania. Both practice daily. Both know the dental chair from both sides.

Innovation doesn’t happen in a high-rise. It happens in the dental practice.

Together, they asked themselves one question. What if we could start fresh, with the knowledge from over 100 million applications and the demands of today’s dentistry? No corporate structures. No compromises from the past.

RING is the answer. Simpler for the dentist. More comfortable for the patient. Simplicity on both sides of the chair.

RING is an intraoral lip and cheek retractor. A single-use medical device that holds back lips and cheeks during dental treatments, giving you clear visibility and full access to the treatment field. For the eye, the scanner and the camera.

For virtually any treatment where you need clear visibility. Restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, orthodontics (bracket bonding, aligner checks), prophylaxis, bleaching, intraoral scanning, photography and video.

No. Conventional retractors span an elastic membrane between two rings, and saliva can pool in the pocket behind it. RING has no membrane: no pocket, nothing to collect, and the same feel at removal as at placement, for you and for the patient. This also matters where moisture control is critical. During in-office bleaching with a liquid rubber dam, for example, there is no fluid reservoir sitting against your working field.

Yes. RING is designed as a single-use product and is disposed of after each use. RING is not intended for reprocessing or reuse.

RING is steplessly adjustable and adapts to adolescents and adults, narrow and wide faces alike.

RING is available directly via rocket.dental. Orders are open to the entire dental professional community: dentists, dental hygienists, dental clinics, dental laboratories, and the dental trade. Sale is restricted to dental professionals.
